Seen a utrip email stating that if teams were caught taking BP in Seattle they would be charged for trespassing and DQ from the tournament? Any insight on the reasoning for that? Maybe a Seattle city ordinance thing?
I can understand DQ’d from the tourney because Stro can pretty much do what he wants. However, you can’t be charged with trespassing when you are at a public park hitting on a baseball field. It’s public property!!!
USSSA can’t stop any team from hitting BP. They may make it difficult to find a spot due to not allowing BP to take place at the site of play, but, they can’t stop a group of individuals from hitting a ball around a public place.
What a ridiculous topic.

The email states, " As a reminder, there is no batting practice allowed outside of the complex. If you are caught hitting at an outside location, you will be trespassed and your team removed from the tournaments. We highly recommend using sand or heavy balls to take BP."
