I don't see Renner in the team Picture. Why was he not in Texas?

#1 hitting pitcher in the game last year has gone unused. I think anyone in that position would be questioning playing time. I'm sure there are two or three sides to the story but seems very strange to bring on a guy that hit .743 last year and beat major teams with his pitching then not play him.

We all knew they had too many pitchers going into the season.

But they have won 2 tournaments.

I know its only 2 tournaments then hes back in the same boat...but I'm surprised Ressy didn't pick him up.

If he was picked up by Ressy he would sit also. Travis is their horse who Carries that team. Andy gets alot of outs that normal guys don’t, along with having that major world collage of titles. That has a lot of weight to it. His teammates believe he can and will get it done. Travis is the best hitting pitcher in the game. Thus is why he plays for Ressy. Renner is good but isn’t going to start on those 2 teams. Prob anybody else but not those 2. I would bet there is a change coming in that roster.

Renner can play infield also. He was top 8 in the conference in hitting last year. Why not play him at first to get that bat in the lineup? He can out hit Martel.

With his team having 3 pitchers its pretty commons sense that there would be an odd man out.... only Renner and the Coaches/Sponsors truly know the playing time promises that were made.

I think replacing Martel is not going to happen. He has played with TBD for years and has been solid. Sometimes it’s about team moral and chemistry. Hey Renner is a great player, his stats prove it, but he might not be the right fit for SIS. Chemistry wins over stats. Softball is like every other sport at that level, these guys are all Alpha’s, all were the best on their older teams and have to learn to fit in and be a great teammate. Some do, some….not so much. They simply can’t be second fiddle. A team is like a puzzle, fit the pieces together and at the end of the day, you hope you put together a masterpiece.
