Is it a non conference rule or a Utrip rule about nobody under the age of 18 is to be in the dugout?

I am far from a expert but a local UTrip guy told me no one under 18 can be in a adult roster and non rostered people are not allowed in the dugout or playing field. It’s a insurance/ liability issue.

Correct. A young child got hit in dugout a few years ago. Not paying attention to what was going on. Liability on association.

Sec. 9. The Managers/Coaches of a USSSA Registered Slow Pitch Softball Team and
the umpires of a USSSA Sanctioned Slow Pitch Softball game/tournament shall not
allow anyone other than a Participant, Manager, Coach, Trainer or Sponsor to be in the
dugout, bench or the field of play during a sanctioned USSSA Slow Pitch Softball game/
tournament. Managers, Coaches, Trainers and Sponsors, unless otherwise approved by
the State Director must be at least 18 years of age.

EFFECT Sec. 9: The first violation of this rule shall be a warning by the umpire. The
second violation or refusal to heed the warning issued on the first violation shall be an
immediate forfeiture of the game.

Is there a rule if a player threatens another player? Asking for everyone?

No, but make sure you're not wearing shorts during a game.

Call the police if you feel threatened at a softball complex. Every weekend there is almost a fight or somebody calls somebody a name or somebody is threatened. Nothing ever happens with any of these scenarios just a lot of hot heads and guys just want to see who can be the loudest on the field. The player that was threatened were they injured or harassed at this event did they say anything which lead up to the threat? Did they egg it on and say things that lead to the reaction you may have not liked? A lot of variables here.

As for children we all get it the major team always has a kid or kids at the flip and dugout. It is what it is the parent spends a-lot on the team and assumes responsibility if anything happens to any of the kids.

Never seen so many people complain.

Be thankful there is softball and you wake up everyday. Don’t worry about things you can’t control.

You are correct! I agree with everything you said if it goes for everyone. That’s the issue. Rules are rules right. You break them you pay the consequence no matter what it is right. Then why when some people break them the rules change. The only issue I have.

Absolutely. Sat in a courtroom a couple of times defending USSSA Umpires. If you allow individuals into a dugout that are not otherwise allowed and something happens, you will find yourself in a court of law most likely. The plaintiff's attorney will pull this rule out of their briefcase and will ask why you did not follow it.
