Simply comparing runs per game is not adequate in this instance. BLD has homer limits. 16 Major vs Major and 12 in all other instances. 2019 had 4 major teams playing so in theory there would be more games in which more homers could be hit. In fact 8 more homers per game back then. 4 for one major team and 4 for the other. more homers for each team equals more runs scored on average. |
This year there were 3 major teams in Vegas. So there were less games in which 16 homers could be hit by the two major teams. Based upon that there was one less major team at this event, I dont feel the 240 bats had any affect on the amount of runs scored in a negative fashion. Instead because there was one major team less than 2019, I'm saying the amount of runs scored at the event was actually higher when factoring in that variable. Simply put the pro M ball is too much ball for anything under 325.
