PR (Player Rating) complaints for the Challenge Cup

There have been a number of PR complaints about challenge cup rosters posted on oldscout and social media but no names associated with the alleged complaints so they could be looked into.

Note, that during and after the challenge cup all posts about PR complaints about the challenge cup will be deleted unless the names of the alleged problems are posted now. In most cases it seems to be people are not familiar with the challenge cup roster rules where the rosters are based off of 2020 PR values.

It seems a lot of people are upset they were not on the cup teams and are lashing out on social media etc and posting false or hateful claims seems to be their way of venting I guess.

I believe all states and the tournament director already checked rosters as they came in which makes these accusations without names seem pretty silly.

But if you all have names, we'll look into it.

Idk about this year but Colorado abused the heck out of it last year... guys going from A to c elite just fir the challenge cup..was posted on here and emailed strojan to hear zero back. Look up Dustin Wager player profile and tell me how he was on challenge cup C team last year for Colorado.

I know as a conference player the sponsors are rerated at the end of each year.

That he dropped from A to C seems like a stretch but many sponsors of higher teams are not higher level players.

Still waiting for a player name on one of this years teams that was ranked higher than the cup team he is on outside the rules. And I am not saying it isn't possible or doesn't happen. Just asking for an actual example on this years teams.

Check his player history it’s easy to see he went from A to c elite. Sorry no info on this years. Went last year and will never attend again.

Again, there are sponsors of A, AA, and Major teams that are 'C' players. They can get rerated at the end of every year so this may be correct A to C elite.

What would you rate Jon Kilburn sponsor of Vivid or Tom Formosa sponsor of Classic Glass?

They are on 'A' teams but are allowed to be rerated to their actual skill level at the end of each year.

Complaining about a Colorado player last year doesn't solve much. Sounds like someone's angry they didn't make the cut.

I have verified that the tournament directors verified all of this years rosters.

What would the penalties be if evidence was given and found to be true? Are the players going to be punished for actions taken by their CC Team Coach?

Looks like all the rosters were checked by the tournament directors and no one posted any actual names or teams so I would say we are good to go for this year.

Can you post your email so that I can send you a list of names and screenshots once the tournament is over? I want these guys to be able to play in the event, so I will not send them to you beforehand. I merely want to show you that players were absolutely reclassified, and that 4 players slipped through the cracks. Not everyone is bitter, scorned, or jealous.

What you fail to understand is if the facts show some player is illegal then I will post that he was illegal. Just like I did when that California team got kicked out of worlds a few years ago.

But if the names don't come out before the tournament then I couldn't care less.

It is like nascar, once the car clears inspection the trophy is going to the winner. They could get fined later for something illegal but they still get the win.

why wait until the tourney is over and possible ruin a team that these guys are playing against. this should be done now as the tourney is happening in a few days.

It is his buddies team so he doesn't want to screw them is what he is saying.

Teams have already been approved anyways so I doubt there would be any appeals at this point.

Would not creating a classification category for the CC solve this? I’m not sure why a “CC-X” category would need to be added for the event rosters

The players were added in December to a C team for a local Toys for Tots event held Dec 12. They are legal.

Here is the explanation I received. I guess someone from Texas could probably corroborate this.

The first player, Bradley Hager, did not.

The second and third player, both were added to C teams after Nov 1. Our season ends after the Worlds.

So by the explanation it seems these players were added after worlds which essentially is 2021.

I (DW) don't personally know any of these players. I guess poster "Baseball" will say I "spun" it, but in fact I just copied and pasted the answer I got.

The players were D after Worlds and added to a C team for an offseason toys for tots tournament.

So they are legal for Challenge Cup D.

I know. I was asking why the event needs its own classification category. I can understand the Major division needing a “CC-Major” since there may be some A&B players in a state that play for a team competing in Major for this event. But, if a team is playing the D bracket then they should be using all D players, so there’d be no need for a “CC-D” classification?

Actually if you look at the 3 players listed it looks like at least one of them played on the C challenge cup team as a D player. But most likely it has its own classification so that players can be on more than one roster at a time.

I’ve heard of two players that had issues with their PR’s changing within the last two weeks for no apparent reason. These players didn’t play on teams last year that were automatic bumps, and no reasonable explanations given from the directors either.
