USSSA removes PRV

Why did USSSA remove players PRV on the website? Now its hard to build rosters..

Did they do it in spite of One Nation and using it to class their players?

How is it harder to build rosters. Ever player can see what their own player rating is, and so so can the coach of said teams.

To me, this won't mean anything to most people who visit this site. Simply because the conference roster points/players everyone knows who is who.

In the lower divisions the rosters are a problem, getting rid of PRV being viewable to the public makes it so people can't constantly be complaining about a problem no one will solve or care about anyways.

So I get why they did it. Teams are gonna sandbag either way at the C, D and E level. Might as well try and get rid of some of the bitching.

it says the system won't let you add an illegal player to your roster so if he's on the roster he is legal. Its also supposed to stop you from having more than a certain amount of drops as well.

This was done to spite other associations that talk bad about usssa but then use their site to rank players.

Most don't look at USSSA ranking because, so many directors lower players ratings as "FAVORS"

I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner. Too many smaller associations just clicking on the Utrip site to rank players, then charging fees.

At 1st I didn’t like the idea ,but seeing how 1 Nation is letting players and teams play a level lower than what UTrip and USA has them, I see why UTrip is doing it.

USSSA and GSL are what everyone across the country play. It’s the association that puts in all the work and have the top directors from coast to coast.

Utrip and USA Softball work well with one another. They put the game first and make sure the the athletes have a place to play at all levels.

WSL has a great location to host Worlds on the beach, just think if they teamed up with USSSA/GSL. #GameOver

NSA has good people, just don’t have much skin in the game.

Clifford is clueless with the Clown Show and the One Plantation is irrelevant. Unless, you like paying $21 for a bag tag and have QVC Shopping Network broadcast that only they share with the country. Newsflash, all your doing is feeding the bar tab with the 47 National/Regional Directors they have for 11 Directors Nationwide (all low hanging fruit guys that demanded USSSA give them a title).

USSSA not providing PRV’s to the public is a smart business move and still allows the player to control his player locker for free. That’s correct, he doesn’t need to pay $21 just to be on a team. This past year USSSA Seeded ALL World Tournaments strictly off the points, not switching teams from the SAME State. So the new point structures for wins will be another huge win for the teams.

Everyone can have their favorite association and the reasons they like and dislike associations. Sandbagging, player fee, best locations, least travel, crooked directors, etc etc, BUT, when U-trip sues someone, its usually lights out! The fact that u-trip hasnt been able to shut down 1 Nation and 1 Nation continues to grow says all you need to know about that lawsuit.
U-trip has competetion from a lot of other associations, yet their directors and UIC's only seem to single out 1 Nation when talking competition or threatening teams/umpires if they work/play it.
I'm no lawyer, but U-trip acts like the softball scene is a tract of land in Yellowstone that belongs to them and they will bully their way thru.
What happens when U-trip files bankruptcy?! Thats right....the clock is ticking. They'll spin it "We will use this to reorganize, restructure, rebuild for a stronger future", yada yada yada, but when they file bankruptcy, they are DONE. They already don't pay their directors

Association most certainly do pay directors. Directors are paid on every team that exists in their state and u-trip has a system where they make teams pay thru their site (which adds a fee) and the directors then have to wait to get tournament entry fees from FL (if they ever come).

When U-trip stops employing former conference players with no business background in their upper levels of business, they stand a chance to dominate. Until then, give a friend a job and watch em tear down 50 years of growth.

If USSSA and WSL merged, it would have almost no effect on One Nation, in my opinion. I have no dog in the fight, but as long as Cliff has control of Berliner he will be in business. It all grows from there.
