Ressy looked pretty solid. Clark kept hitters off balance, and didnt give up many runs. Anxious to see what happens with the role players. Helmer seems to run a pretty clean/tight ship, you have a bunch of pretty good dudes in that dugout. You got guys like Reck, Bazat, Conny, Wegs, Mack, Clark; crafty vets been around this upper stuff for a long time. I hope egos dont get in the way of this bunch, they have looked pretty relaxed so far. Reck got a few games in, Hagz got a few games in, from a rotation standpoint many saw action. Reck even was on the bump one game. Santana has been a solid addition thus far with Lewis being out until now. I think it will be interesting to see if Lewis is in for the rest, or if he will not comeback after playing Smoky until its world series time? Nonetheless he looked solid. KP cut it well, Riley is still getting his feet under him. Helmer even had him play 3rd tonight. It was also good to see Yates swing too. |
DS wont go down lightly, I think they have real good bat control, and can beat Ressy more on 300' fields. Matte, Bennett, Dodds, Matusik are still playing real good ball. And the Jones kid DS picked up is solid. DS will still give Ressy fits, as they still have AP keeping guys off balance.
After Ressy/DS their is a significant drop off. Pure has struggled in Columbus. I like Bad Draw, think Vitz should see more time on the bump, but thats just because I think he is a pretty good P, and has enough pop hitting as a pitcher as well.
