Cliff removed from GSL but USSSA keeps the name?

Is Cliff making his own sanction again after USSSA removed him and kept the rights to the GSL name?

Pretty simple. He wanted to shake them down based on all the new GSL registrations. He thinks he singlehandedly signed all the teams in the north and the west. This guy started GSL after screwing ASA into the ground in Ohio in one year. He is everything that is wrong with the game and society. Look at me, look at me ,I’ve been wronged , you want me to work?

GSL has a real future now that Cliff the Greedy McGreedy is off to adventure 4.

Those teams and players that like him can follow the path to one nation under Clifford.

And he not only screwed ASA, he tried his best to get into NSA but they were too slow to move on it.

Too bad. GSL was a good format but now will have USSSA big bucks behind it.

Good luck Clifton especially since you will not have that great USSSA online system behind you to benefit from.

Hold on, is that NSA on the line? Maybe you can join up with them like Bill Chard did. We all see where that has gotten him, lives in Texas now running a snack shack far away from softball.

Too bad none of you have a clue what you are talking about. He did build that, that’s why USSSA wanted it. He was taking the market in this area. We need more guys like him with new ideas like the DHH. He will take some of the market with him, count on it.

Been more than 2 post as the first one was posted and removed and DW said something along the lines of

Cliff is a big supporter of mine and told me this was false and asked me to remove it and used the word Slander.....

Guess his big supporter lied directly to him like he has others

Kimster is correct. I haven’t posted about it. People avoid giving me info because I am the media I guess.

If either association wants to send me a formal statement I would post it.

If there are sides, I consider myself friends with everyone involved and have a lot of respect for Cliff and his work in slowpitch.

I don’t think many of these people that play have any idea what it takes to put together a tournament like the MOJO. The resources to make that thing happen are way more than most imagine. And the following that tournament has didn’t happen overnight. He built it and now it has waiting lists every year. How people don’t respect that is beyond me.

How can you save the game when players will only play for weekend money? When only 2-3 teams spend 250k to pay salaries and the rest are left with the left overs. Save the game, cap points for major teams, start there!

Unfortunately that most likely will never happen..it’s my view that’s because of three things...

1 Most if the big money sponsors need to know they can buy their way into being more or less guaranteed being a top team in most events.

2 Once the players get the taste of the cash from being in a sponsors harem it’s hard to go back to loving the game playing for free.

3 the higher ups in associations are most often worshipers of the few big sponsors, so they will most likely never do anything to hurt their ability to BUY being softball “relevant”.

I still amazes me that over my softball time, many big money self made sponsors that competed to build their empires somehow fall into not wanting to compete game in and game out..

Then again...it’s kinda must be the same thing for the money players..and PED boys...

I can’t relate to it but..maybe for many..it’s more fun beating up inferior teams and players then it is trying to compete on as level of a playing field as possible.

Lord know...that has to be why the elites of the game have not worked to make the competition on the big events of the con ference more competitive. There are easy ways to do it..yet nothing has ever been done?????

USSSA approached GSL 5 years ago about a partnership, not the other way around.

That partnership is no longer working for the GSL side of the business who were owed $$$ from USSSA and if anyone is on the inside, can see how much of a mess USSSA is.

When something is not working, you aren't getting paid and you don't have a voice in operations, you'd leave too, especially if it was spelled out in a contract.

The website and IT from USSSA is nice, but what I've heard from sources is that the new website and IT that Cliff has ready to launch will be that and more! Its not just him, he has backing from PROMINENT people in the business that agree and support what his vision is.

The know people that know people in the know. I don't understand the negativity. Was your team wronged in a tournament? Were you not given a prize packaged as promised? Come on, it sounds more and more like jealousy. Lets just jump on a message board and call Cliff fat and greedy.

Meanwhile, USSSA brings in millions of dollars in inflated fees that don't do anything for players except line the pockets of the wealthy top 10-12 people at USSSA, the non profit giant that they are.

So sick and tired of your baseless PED allegations. Either come up with compelling evidence and proof or let it go. Better yet, just go away period. I’m sure you’ve personally prescribed PED’s for the players you accuse of using them or you’ve personally injected them or have video/photo proof that they are taking PED’s. Maybe it’s just players working their rear ends off to get bigger and stronger in the gym (which is possible to do without any kind of performance enhancers)’and busting their rear ends in the cage to get better. Wish you would show up to a tournament where all the big teams/players are and throw around those accusations to their faces personally. Oh wait, I forgot, you don’t have the cajones to show up at the convention, let alone a tournament. Like I said earlier, just go away

Yes some are genetically blessed but u can pretty much tell by looking at the players who is juicing etc. Please post the workout program that most of the guys that LOOK like they juice that don’t so we can begin using the plan

When you are in your upper 30s and into your 40s, you ARE NOT playing multiple games (12+) of softball over a 3 1/2 day time frame and still being able to move on the 3rd day and the 1/2 day without something. Not saying it would be PEDS, but that would be the obvious reasoning. And truth be known, most of people in this scenario probably have a prescription for 1cc weekly or biweekly and use them in cycles and not for TRT.

Dear Players & Managers,

USSSA emailed a message to all directors announcing the parting of ways between USSSA and myself. After 5 years of partnership with USSSA, I felt it was in the best interest of GSL slowpitch softball and myself to not further the partnership moving into the 2020 season and the future.

I started GSL 9 years ago out of a passion for slowpitch softball like many of you share with me. What GSL has grown into over the last 9 years with thousands of teams nationally has been amazing and all of it is because of you players and managers that have enjoyed the mission of GSL. And, that has been to put the customer first.

As a result of the separation from USSSA, I am continuing my passion of slowpitch softball but in a different direction under a new name called One Nation - Powered by GSL Nation. Under One Nation, I remain committed to bringing you slowpitch softball at great venues like Berliner in Columbus, Ohio, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and in the many states that have embraced the rules of GSL.

One Nation will kick off the 2020 season with events this January / February & March in Nashville, TN / Myrtle Beach, South Carolina & Columbus, Ohio.

Many more big announcements to come over the next few days stay tuned.

What sucks for me is worlds. In Cincinnati/Columbus we play almost all GSL but it’s all dual sanctioned with USSSA. Now we’re going to go to Viera with no usssa events on our schedule? No one wants to go to GSL PCB or Myrtle Beach worlds. Sucks they couldn’t work things out. Seems like it only hurts us.
