I've taken a part almost every kind of glove on the market and have been fortunate enough to see how they're all made. There is a lot of great selection for the glove consumer these days. As per previous comments, Wilson's are fantastic, along with Rawlings HOH/Pro preferred, high end Mizunos and 44Pro. It all depends on what you prefer for feel and color, what you can afford and the position you play. If looking for an affordable glove that's been made well, look at 44Pro gloves, S2N, the new Easton El' Jefe series or the Louisville Super Z's. As for the softer leather like the new Miken line or some of the lower end offerings from other manufacturers, they're decent when they're new but won't hold their shape as long as the the others as the leather quality has been compromised in order to offer at a lower price point. The benefit of these is they won't break your bank account to purchase and need very little time to break in. |
