To say that the guys you've seen are better than some on the livestream is, of course, true in many instances, but you may not be taking into account the level of competition that your prospect is playing against versus the guy you are seeing on the livestream. A 600 obp in the conference is probably closer to 750 playing local events. Your prospects probably aren't hitting against the best pitching with vacuum gloves in the infield and deer running the three outfield positions.
If the individuals you are referring to are tearing it up at conference events consistently as a non conference player, they will get noticed. if it turns out to be someone who just complains about how much better they are than some of the guys playing conference, they probably deserve to stay home instead of getting opportunities.
Are they willing to abandon their current team midseason just for a shot to wear a jersey that has a conference patch? If so, that's not a desirable trait and will not be well received.
Off the field mentality along with performance at the right time will go a long way. It also is going to take the ability to self critique and understand where you are actually at in your game instead of creating excuses for why someone is at a higher level than you.
