The at bat routines are one thing, but stepping out after each pitch to do more of that is just too much. It's even happening at the lower levels and seniors now. It's funny that umpires don't say anything at all to these human rain delays. When I'm on the mound and know those guys are coming up to bat, I turn my back to them and have my fielders tell me when they're all set. Once that happens and they're ready to bat, I just kneel down and re-tie my shoe. They're not too happy about having to wait after they're set. A couple of umpires have threatened to call a ball for the delay, but haven't.
