It takes a special mindset in order to be able to sit on the bench and only play part of the time or in certain situations. Those guys are important and hard to find. When you get to anything above C ball most players are the best of the best and used to being the "guy" but when you get to that level and higher you have a team full of "the guys" and it's hard to find people that are willing to set the ego aside and do what's best for a team. Usually it's older guys on the tail end of their careers, or young guys that are trying to break through and get their chance to shine. Of course getting everything paid for and a little weekend money as well makes the pill a little easier to swallow as well...it's really hard to find those guys on A/B/C teams because usually they are shelling out some or a lot of money to be there on the weekends and to not play all the time is something I know I couldn't do if I was on my own dime.
