It has a hump, its no more than 9 feet max, it lands in a pre determined area behind home plate, and strike one zone is bigger than strike two zone. Strike two becomes the "I couldn't find anything wrong with it so its a strike."
I understand no umpire is going to say it or agree with what I have written and that's ok, but my description is the zone that it morphs into.
Example is Dombrowski, many of his pitches are actually released down by the 3.5 foot mark but his height for strike calls is always the same height as other pitchers. Where Purcell releases from the hip and his max and min height for strike calls is the same as Dombrowski.
And all of this is ok because everyone is very comfortable with the current conference zone but I think everyone will agree it needs widened out and strike two needs to be more like strike one.
