The ball and bat combo is definitely the problem. If they played all the games on 300-325 foot fences and used a lesser ball the game would be way better. The pitchers would be in less danger number one. Plus it would be more like softball is supposed to be. I hate seeing ground ball base hits through the infield be an automatic double because the outfielders have to play so deep on the stadium fields. Use a ball that isnt so golf ball like and the game would be much better. More entertaining and would bring a lot more defense into the game. Homeruns would still be hit like they always have just not 450 foot opposite field accidents when people are trying to keep the ball in. Just my two cents
