I never had any of my bats tested until yesterday morning when a fellow bp guy showed up with a usssa tester.
He tested my bp synergy + (Lord knows how many thousands of swings are on it) in two places before we started hitting and it tested 283 and 261….
After we finished I asked him to retest to show another hitter how high the compression number was…During retesting it read 251 and 223.
BP started with the ambient temp around 55 degrees.. at the end of BP it was pushing 70 degrees.
Does compression really change that much depending on the bats temperature?
My bat had sat in my truck over night and it got down to about 40 degrees four hours before we tested it.
