It just seems the days of run producing, power hitting pitchers isnt a thing? I look at Travis Clark (arguably the best hitting pitcher today) and yesterdays Andy Purcell (father time), Daniel Sanchez as being the last real swinging for power and run producing pitchers.
I guess what im getting at, i know pitchers job is to throw strikes and limit the walks to little as possible, but is a offensive producer just a bonus? Or are they held to the same expectations as the next guy in the lineup?
