If anyone wants to know why we classified any player we have, in our very first re-classification session, I will gladly take all questions and take 1/2 the responsibility for it!
David Word and I were selected as Michigan Directors during a very difficult time for our state, softball-wise and life in general. Michigan has had a rough time of it for awhile. When we decided to take this job, there was ONE item we wanted to stress over every other... we will be 100% transparent!
There is not one person, or two, who will dictate player classifications or disciplinary actions! We have assembled a 9 member panel, who we think has integrity, softball playing experience, rules knowledge, honesty, and determination to rate players for their play on the field, and not their actions off of it. We are trying to put USSSA back on top of the softball world in our state! For the first time in many, many years, if ever, we are traveling to the north, the far west, the thumb area, parks that have never seen Utrip played before. We may have the most added player list in the country by the end of next year. It is a learning procees for sure, but one that we are so determined to see through! We will succeed, I'll take all bettors!
You cannot just state falsehoods and have no proof to back it up. Bring me your questions or concerns about any player we have re-classified in our only session to date, and we will gladly share all of the information obtained to classify them where they are. We cannot take responsibility, blame, or credit for what has happened before we came aboard. But from this day forward, you can credit, or blame, Dave and I for everything that happens under our watch. There is plenty of excitement in these parts, and it is our job to keep that excitement alive! False articles such as this, will only make us more determined! Merry Christmas to all.
