Michigan for the first time this year created a panel of players, Umps, and coaches to evaluate players who've submitted appeals based on talent more so than roster history. Yes its opinionated. And its the first year for the 2 new Directors for USSSA Slowpitch. But i think its a better solution than 1 person making the call..
That being said, the panel and state directors can only make recommendations here in MI. National still has the final say whether they bump or reclass.
