The Home Run Rule is as follows for all Conference
games with the exception of the Smoky Mountain
Classic as they use unlimited number of home runs.
• When a Major Team plays a Major Team 16
home runs per game per team
• When a Conference AA or Conference A Team
plays any team 12 home runs per game
• In all other games during the tournament,
non-Conference A Teams and below will get
8 home runs per game per team
Now I understand that this does not fully go to the lower ranked teams home run limit because technically you could have a D team entered and that would require a 3 home run limit. I would however hope that you would agree it could get bad in a hurry if you had an A, AA, or Major team playing against a D team with only 3 home runs.
At the end of the day I personally don't think that it should go to a non-conference team's limits anyway regardless of class. The conference has specific strict limits based on the classification of teams playing. If a non-conference team enters a conference event then they choose to play by those rules and are likely only entering that one event close to their location. This is no different than an E team entering a C tournament, the rules will not be changed to cater to the E team during their games.
Point BCP for actually reading the rules before proposing one that's already there.
