I'd love to see what an unlimted home run game with wood bats and 52 275 balls would like on a 300 foot field, personally. Tim's idea of rock hard balls, short fences, and low limits just means the entire infield will look like hockey goalies eventually.
The idea that you can eliminate PEDs in amateur softball is just too costly. We have enough issues running full conference events now. I would like to see more extensive bat testing and cut those open, but as far as safety, if a guy wants to roid up to make some side cash hitting a softball, its none of anyone but his own business.
