When it then comes to your use of a shaved bat you all of a sudden have qualifications and conditions as to why it should not be viewed in the same light. Examples of some of your excuses include 1. the other team knew the bat was shaved, 2. it was the other teams bat, 3. it was a league game not a tournament. That would be the equivalent of saying if you tell your buddies at card night that you are bottom dealing to yourself its not cheating or that if you only cheat at card night with your buddies but not at a casino it doesn't count the same.
If you are going to deal in extreme conditions then deal in extreme conditions, why does it have to be limited to only the elites or tournaments? How do you justify that its ok to use a shaver in a league game but not in a tournament? How do you justify that its if the other team knows the bat is shaved? If a tournament player follows the standard you are creating and announces every time he comes up to bat that he is swinging a shaved bat to the opposing team does that then allow him to maintain status as a clean player in your eyes?
By your own words you have stated that if someone does it one time they are capable of doing it again which then clouds all results obtained by that person. Do I think you were a dirty player? Absolutely not. However, you have admitted to use of an altered bat in a sanctioned game which now means that it is possible that it has happened on other occasions so it has now created a window for others to question you. If you truly believe that elite level players should not be mad about you questioning whether they are clean or not, then you should not be mad if people question you since you've admitted to use of an altered bat in a sanctioned game. Look at your last line above, you are literally saying I swear on my loved ones lifes to my knowledge those are the only occasions I cheated in a game.
