I hope it goes well and USSSA starts making inroads in seniors.
Will usssa do a good job sanctioning divisions?
Will USSSA have a player check in process to assure EVERYONE is legally competing in their age bracket?....
or...will some players be allowed to cheat and lie about their age?
I mention this because USSSA ran a 35 world in Concord Ca the year I turned 35 so I put a team in it and...I found out a year later that one of my players lied to me about being eligible..I actually sat out the event and just coached because we had too many upper players .
It ended up he was only 34...
I hindsight I understand now..That I should have checked id’s myself so I unknowing allowed us to cheat.
SSUSA (USSSA’s big challenger in seniors) has a very good ID system and check in system to keep players playing in the right age group...IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE HOW HALL AND USSSA handle this type of thing and everything else senior ball throw out.
I hope they do a great job showing usssa is finally working hard to make a great senior program
