I have heard of ped users that are body builders and power lifters to add a little something to cut weight before competition to lean up or make weight.
This is going around and around about the past when for the current state of softball the real poll questions should be.
Do playing on large fields increase the advantage of ped use while reducing the pool of potential players? not too many players across the country willing to ped up..if you do not ped up..it is almost impossible to compete/play up.
Does building a game for baseball fields increase batted ball exit speed? Increase the risk of injury to defensive players.
and if so...Do any of the issues hurts the upper levels of the game?
I can understand how many of the ped boys standing out as the game is built now, would not have an issue with the current game..it makes them more relevant..same goes for the big money sponsors that buy them...
But...would the game be more popular if more players could actually compete at a higher level without using ped?
