Flip didn’t get in my face. He asked me if I heard what Collins said and I did not.
A strike was called, Collins asked for time and walked towards Third Base and yelled. I knew he yelled something but didn’t know what he said. He was walking away from me. Flip asked if I was going to eject him for yelling “F**k” and I told Flip I didn’t hear what he said. Flip and I discussed it briefly and it was over. He wasn’t really arguing with me and certainly was not “in my face”.
We as umpires cannot be ejecting players for what they may have said. If we aren’t 100% sure then it has to be let go.
I don’t know what happened in the other game(s) anyone is referencing as I wasn’t involved.
If anyone would like to start umpiring Conference USSSA please let us know.
