I doubt I ever even saw Ramsey.
Itís my recollection Donny got a leg up on leading usssa because he was the one director that would move to Virginia.
I also seem to remember hearing that Donny did most of the leading and Ramsey was more or less just a figure head his last few years.
I donít remember his name....maybe it was Jerry.... but through the later half of the 90ís Donny had a board member that was always with him....at some point I was sitting outside the usssa suite at Disney watching a game at The Series while some
major team was beating the crap out of a lower level team Thursday night..
Jerry ? came down and sat next to me and asked..what do you think needs to be done with this (obviously he was referring to the few major teams having very little comp)
my answer...you have to weaken the major teams rosters and make them closer to the AA and A rosters..
His answer...yep...But Donny will never do it. He loves the major teams.
So yes... I blame Donny jr for having his view of the upper levels of usssa being fogged by his fanaticism of the major division..
Dan, if you cannot see allowing nationalized/multi region teams into the AA. A, B divisions has hurt those divisions numbers... I donít think you have followed softball for long... and NO... I do not think that you are ignorant of the past
