even if they advertised a meeting and invited tons of softball people from the “growth era” of softball to come and share what they believed helped or hurt the game...it could
still be done on a site like this.
It is a waste of time and money to have everyone travel to get everyone into a room when everyone can share their thoughts on any softball issue on this site..
what really amazes me is..that usssa has not used the old scout for valid questions, answers and discussions on their game.
I attended my share of usssa conventions..and not one meeting I attended couldn’t be done on the internet. In the end..more often then not.. what the leadership wants..the leadership gets..
The challenge is persuading the leadership..and that is only possible when they are open to studying new information to address an issue. which has not been very often.
I can understand the leadership not wanting to put stuff in writing for all to see when discussing any issue... IT FORCES THEM TO VALIDATE THEIR BELIEFS..which takes a whole lot more work/brains then just dictating.
