what was it that drew players into softball back when it was popular that is different today? especially for competitive levels?
at least in norcal..
There are more high school baseball teams now then in the mid 80s and early 90s.
There are more girls fast pitch high school teams now then in the mid 80s early 90s
There are many more serious youth baseball players playing travel ball now then in the mid 80 and early 90s
So what happened to eliminate all those players from moving into softball?
And don’t tell me it’s because of video games....all those youth and high school players are playing on a real field..not a screen/monitor
