Re: Overhaul of World Tournaments
I actually think navigating a bracket of 100-400 teams is extremely difficult and a much better way to decide the postseason accolades. I think prestige is in the eye of the beholder - in other words, I think the term "worlds" is thrown around too much. Personally, I don't recognize anyone as world champion unless you won the USSSA world tournament for your class. Teams that choose to go to other associations "world tournament" and claim to have "made a good run at world" are just dodging the grand daddy and the competition in my mind (Obviously that doesn't conform to every single team that doesnt) It's by far the most competitive, the most challenging single class tournament to win, and in cases of lower level teams (C and below), extremely grueling to run through.
But again, that's just one mans opinion.
And also, I agree that E should definitely not have a world tournament.
