Go back and watch the video again. Dirty jumped 5 feet to the right side of second base. Flip didn't hit it anywhere near the rubber, he was clearly aiming 1-4 hole and it bounced and hit the Marucci sign in RCF field (look how far right that sign is on the stadium) - no way it could come that close if he went middle if you really thought he went middle. Sometimes defensive players get fired up and look for a reason to bitch about players hitting middle. I could hear Flip even yelling at Dirty saying "stay on the rubber and you won't get hit", but Dirty is too good of a warrior/pitcher and wants to defend the holes. We are all gonna think what we want in the moment even if we are wrong, and that's what happened. Unfortunately a lot of us are too competitive and the fire gets the best of us.
