I think there would be senior ball still, too many players from the 70's/ 80's that still want to play. The bats do make a difference but we have a senior league in Dayton that the players swing USSSA/ ASA stamp bats. Now granted there are 1-3 home runs per game vs teams hitting 3-4 per team per game with the senior bats.
I heard they will be testing senior bats in the very near future, they should. These bats out of the wrapper are 200 and my Easton after 50 swings or so tested 179 already. I think a threshold of 170 is more than generous and that will still get your 3-5 home runs and be a little safer than than the 120-130 testing bats but just my opinion.
