it isn't about cutting the hitting down, it's about making the 1 position on the field closest to the HOTTEST BATS ever made a little safer. Everything is made to the hitter's benefit. The strike zone is so small, especially when local lower teams play higher classed conference teams. Shouldn't the pitchers playing in conference get the nod that they are some of the best in the game and a higher or "deeper" strike be called and not always be called a ball, because the batter will throw a hissy fit. Does that make sense? The hitters are already get the best bats on the market, hitting golf balls and get the pitches called their way, for the most part, give something back to the pitcher.
