*"A PED is a Perfomance Enhancing Drug that’s on a professional sports banned list." TM60+ Cortisone fits your definition and the sports that include it as a banned substance test during the off season.
Tell the truth about what exactly? Yes I know PEDs are used in softball. However, I don't know expansively every person that uses them and to what extent (one time during the off season to recover/manage pain, the whole off season, all year long, who knows). I don't know which players have taken cortisone or any other specific substance to comment on that so I don't. Watching you now squirm to avoid your own exact words is quite the entertainment. Apparently, I do not have as good of eyes as you to be able to visually identify who is using what.
While I agree with you that if someone performs any action once they are capable of duplicating it again, I also believe that people are capable of change and seeking to improve themselves. I've seen plenty of people who crossed various lines vow never again and pay that penance everyday, some of them still alive some of them no longer with us. I would hope that when you raised your family that you incorporate lessons of forgiveness and that none of us are perfect in this life, and that just because you make a mistake once does not require that you continue to make that same mistake again. This is applicable to any decision in life.
I also refuse to judge others for their decisions because I do not know under what exact circumstances they were made.
Out of curiosity, did you feel special knowing the players on your team that supplied altered bats into the field of play? Like I said Tim, I am nobody to judge anyone for what they have done and I never claim to be perfect. I just wake up each day and try to control what I can control, what I can't I accept that I can't. My only caution to you is as I would caution anyone, be careful in life with extreme statements and ultimatums, they'll box you in to something you did not intend almost every time. This is why by YOUR definition cortisone, even just once during the off season is cheating. I asked you explicitly about doctor prescribe and administered substances to give you that opportunity to clarify yet you declined.
In terms of the statements you continue to make regarding my family, they are all their own grown men and capable of addressing any of your concerns over their major team if you wish to speak to them.
Its unfortunate because you're singular focus on stopping advancements in technology is blinding you. Look at Formula 1 racing, how much has technology advanced there? Do you see anyone trying to figure out how to slow cars down. Additionally, it is a limited entry sport with 10 teams whose cars are supplied with engines from 4 manufacturers, of those 4 manufacturers 2 of them have dominated the sport for at least the past decade (ferrari and mercedes). This is despite the fact that there are explicit rules intended to level the playing field.
Do you really think that if you somehow did manage to completely eliminate PEDs from the sport of softball that the major teams would still not have the most dominant teams?
They have classifications for a reason. If a team wins a world series for a higher classification than they are registered, I would argue that they are more destructive to the sport than any major team. Such team has played at a lower classification all year and no comes out the best at the next level. There are far more major and major watch list players than there are roster spots at any given time. Nothing in the conference rules and regulations stops any team from picking up as many players as they want off this list. Teams intentionally decide for their own assorted reasons not to do so and thus end up classified lower.
With Conference being an open limit program with no roster restrictions, why is it the fault of the teams that fill their roster with the highest classed players possible fault? Why is it not the fault of teams that when into an Open program and intentionally limited it. Going back to the Formula 1 example, this would be the equivalent if a team intentionally installed a lesser engine or an electronic governor.
