Then...let alone, I would not be wanted...I have no time in the next four months to fly out to a meaningless con vention that doesnít even schedule a few hours meeting with an agenda of bringing in guys with experience like Danny Down types and brainstorming with ALL local directors on how to one again grow softball like they did before.
When I pointed out other rec sports growing it was done to show anything is possible.
The first questions that needs to be addressed are... what was the game like when it was the number one rec sport in America and how has the changes effected the game of softball.
The game is dying and it sure doesnít look like anyone at HQ wants to put huge efforts into changing its downward trajectory.
Itís my believe the game should go back to a safer time when smaller fields, shorter bases and mounds were the norm and everyday players didnít have to worry about injury or shaved/rolled bat cheaters every swing.
I can understand the few remaining players like dan4 liking the state of the game now...he never experienced it when it was great and the number one rec sport in America. Whatís the saying..ignorance is bliss;-)
