MLB can do every study, graph it or chart it on why they are losing fans by the 100,000s. It has nothing to do when all the horse crap they think it does, it's a salary cap issue, and always will be until they cap it!
I've been a giant reds fan since I was born in the 80s, since 1990 the reds have made the playoffs no more than 5 times, and all 5 times they lost in 1st round to a to a team that damn near doubles their payroll.... and all those other years, they just sucked because of payroll.
Houston was awful from 2010-2013, and they was at the bottom of the barrel for attendance, they got good because of some draft picks, and spending some $, and now they are probably top 2 or 3 in attendance. That shows if us fans think we are competitive, or have a chance, we will go to games. But when their is absolutely no chance, it's no fun.
The greatest rule in the NFL, and NBA is the salary cap!
I dont agree with really anything you say, but this is the one thing I agree with, no major teams, cap em on points. I think it would only make the conference better. If the 3 big major teams all broke down into AA teams, with the AA teams you already have, that would be amazing. And of course, the bigger $ teams would get the biggest best most paid players, but that's every sport. Doesnt necessarily mean that team will win every game.
