I ran a competitive team without having to buy players..I understand that might be impossible for someone named Dan Smith to comprehend..but it’s true.

The only player on any of those 10 or 11 teams that qualified for, or played in the world series (I honestly don’t remember the number) that was every offered cash in the pocket from your grandpa was me..and I turned down $35,000 because I did not think it was right for me to take cash when..NO ONE ELSE ON OUR TEAM WAS GETTING PAID.

Now...we did bring Steve, and your Dad to a World Series..I did this because I believed your grandpa sponsoring us should be rewarded with his sons experiencing the World Series (both your uncle and dad’s first swings at the Series we’re playing with/for me)I am sure your grandpa was paying your dad and Steve to work for him..but I don’t think that would count.

This should be real easy to clear up on the pay to play for my softball team thing. Just ask grandpa.
