That’s never been any different at the major level... it more or less has always been a buy your softball players..don’t find talent and built it....there are a few exceptions but not many.
I understand you were not around but.. there was a time AA, A teams were all locally/regionally build by great softball men that built players...not bought teams.
There was a time the great softball directors fought to have a strong local program that regulated its player base.
There are many causes for the decline in all of the once healthy softball divisions... MAJOR HAS ALWAYS SUCKED... and the problem is.....
Instead of killing the division destroying Major level mentality... it’s sadly been allowed to move down the division ladder.
Once again...I think I have said this around this time of year for 15 years...
THE MOST IMPORTANT SOFTBALL MEETING TO HAVE IS A LOCAL DIRECTOR AND PLAYERS CONVENTION MEETING WITH ONE GOAL.

Sadly...there never seems to be meetings like this... I hope the newDon era is different?
