now if my whole team is the same way, on a macro level we should feel better about playing better teams on smaller fields than a stadium.
as noted it doesn't eliminate that better players are better players but it *lessens the gap* the lower team still has to play great and probably need the higher team to play sub par. easier said than done to get a team to play sub par.
perfect example, our main dhh role hitter hits mostly LC to RC for power 330-340 type power, fairly consistently for our level, that counts for zero on big fields. what was an asset on 300 foot fields has been diminished.
no stats to back it up figuratively from a small view extrapolated.
and of course disclaimer that i don't think any of this will change as i believe the conference is treated and built as a showcase and want KP to hit nukes in a stadium.
