I still do not see why you are complaining for teams that limit themselves at an unlimited event.
I guarantee you a roster could be built under the A limits that could consistently beat the Major teams. Unfortunately, this would require someone to cover some ground finding the players needed for it.
In professional sports there are teams that pay top dollar for players and there is moneyball type teams. The same can be done in softball. Someone just has to put the effort into it.
I don't know how you think your point system would make it cheaper to compete. I actually think it would be the opposite because Major teams would pay the top players they can to stay under the limit. So the impact would be that now an A player gets paid like a major player because he is a top 0 point athlete and someone is trying to stay under.
It wouldn't build more parity as now the top non-watchlist or major watchlist players are now getting taken from your precious A and AA teams.
Lastly, tweaking a roster to a 10 point limit likely won't make a difference for the Major World Series. All the top players would already be on top rosters so who are they going to add?
Guess you can't say "everyone" knows this would build more "parity" all season long.
