I know you and I are on the same page on a lot of these issues. I think we need to start clarifying when we talk about it. I think what it should really say is:
I don't think a single one of those AA teams wants to only have the major world series to potentially play in and I don't think a single one of those A teams want AA teams playing at the A world series.
There is no division throughout the course of the year anymore. There are a few open tournaments nationwide these teams can play in outside of CONFERENCE tournaments. As you and I have both acknowledged the classifications for these teams are solely about what worlds they are allowed to go to.
I would actually argue that those AA teams do want to play major as they do attend the major world series if they qualify. What they don't want is to not have a separate world they can try to win without the major teams present.
We need to stop making it seem like the major teams are chasing these lesser teams around the country to be mean to them as opposed to the truth that teams just aren't building the best squad they can. There is plenty of talent throughout this country that could play at the highest level but have not been given a shot. I actually think it would be funny to see a pool of sponsors get the best under the radar team they could of players who have never played conference and see how they stack up.
Look how fast Cayton went from unknown to starting on a MWS title team.
