HELP! 6th Grade Pieces

We need to find 2 very easy pieces for 6th grade band with block parts and not featuring the trumpet section. We have only a few weeks to learn the parts so we want to make sure it's really accessible. Any suggestions are welcome!

The Queenwood Publications by McGinty & Edmondson are excellent if you can still find them. They're scored for solid sounds even with limited instrumentation small bands. The Red books1&2 have very limited ranges for first year players. Without trumpets I would put some clarinets on those parts to cover.

Look at Creepy Crawlies by Michael Story

Woodwinds carry the tune and Trumpet Players buzz mouthpieces to sound like bugs, so being centered right on pitch isn't the end of the world.

Check PDF Band Music. I have several tunes there designed for that purpose. I taught middle school in San Antonio for eons, and know the lack of usable literature for that level.
