Looking for info on Corn Cobb Classic

Looking for details on the 2026 Corn Cobb Classic - Badlands ISD. Usually have seen the registration form come through. Appreciate if you can share anything.

Well shucks Delmont, I am sorry that we are so behind on getting the forms out. Lyla Lou our drum major tried getting Chat GPT to make the form for us, but for the life of us we can't figure out how it works. We figured that GPT obviously stands for Gopher-Porcupine-Tiger, so we put all three animals in a cage, and the next thing we know the Gopher dies of a heart attack and the tiger has a nose full of porcupine quills.

The Corn Cobb Classic will be on September 31st, as always. Badlands is playing a "Bad Bunny" show that actually has nothing to do with the Bad Bunny fella that performed at the super bowl, we just have a rabies outbreak in our county, so there are lots of bad bunnies that need to be rounded up.

Well - not your rabies outbreak …

But the date looks great. Need to talk to Principal McTagee because that is so close to the dairy decathalon. Farmer Nance gets ornery when we pull the kids out. And we need him on our side to use Elsie in the show every year.

Will Dr. Berks be returning to judge general pageantry?

Not sure if Hitchen-Post ISD will be attending this year. The instrumentation rules update really soured our grapes. When you have a premiere tri-county zero-turn mower ensemble, you feature them. Rules be darned, I tell you what.

Totally understand. We are still working on getting the FFA restrictions removed from the competition regulations. I just don't see the issue with bringing Elsie and Wuggles out on the field with the kids. Nothing quite like seeing our sousaphone player solo from the top of a horse, or watching the saxophones parade Elsie around in the ballad.

No matter - the show must go on!

If you hear anything about the date for this coming year, please let me know. We are anxious to register.
