Twirling solo and Flag solo

So its solo season and I have two girls that want to do solo's in twirling and Flag. I have never heard of flag solos before. Is there such a thing and where do I get info on this? Twirling is usually handled by someone else and I just sign them up. But I don't know what they have to do to do a grade 3 solo. Can anyone out there help? I can sign them up but that is all I know to do.

I was under the impression that the twirling contest was done in conjunction with the Region Marching Contest.

Twirling is a valid entry in solo and ensemble.

Some regions, like 13, historically have their twirling solo/ensemble the day of the Region Marching Contest.

Other Regions have it in conjunction with their Solo and Ensemble Contest.

I don't think that's a UIL event anywhere. If your guard completes in NTCA, there's a solo event that happens in the late spring.

Not sure flag solos count unless they fall under the twirling umbrella.
