Senior gifts

I guess I've been blessed in the past. My boosters have always put together Senior gifts and I have never worried. This year I am at a small school with no boosters. What is appropriate without being trite or dull. Thanks in advance.

We do a ingraved plastic award for our seniors. they look crystal but they are plastic. Has there name, instrumnet, position if they were a band officer and the year.

I started giving pins at my old school that said "School Mascot Band Senior". The students were able to wear them on their uniforms, except at UIL, on the collar and were able to wear it at concerts with their concert black.

At my current school we do a T-shirt that says "School Mascot Band Alumni" and give it to them at the banquet, along with a paperweight that is engraved with Band Senior and their year.

I give my seniors a book (the same book to every senior). I write a little note inside the front cover. I don't go crazy on the price. I find some motivational book at Mardel that doesn't break the bank.

When I was in school our boosters bought us duffle bags that were embroidered with our name. I still use mine and so do my friends. That was 10 years ago.

Don't buy Senior gifts.

Write them a letter about what you hope to see them accomplish with their life.
