For Marching Band, the pedal keeps coming off of the vibraphone as we move it. It is just the top that goes into the ring by the bars.

Have any of you had this problem? And how do you solve it?.

For Musser vibes, like the M 48 Traveler model:

If you take the hook that is attached to the top of the pedal rod, bend it a little more, and "hook" it on the eye hook of the muffle bar, the pedal should stay on a little better.

We have a Musser knock off that has a hook with a spring that holds tension on the eye bolt for the dampener. I'd recommend trying a zip tie or velcro strap to wrap through the eye bolt and around the hook to hold them together when the medal was moved during transport.

This year we added another synth to take instead of the vibraphone. The wear and tear on the frame and instrument was an issue.

Which brand? Each of them are made a bit differently.
