A member of our church orchestra is playing on a 1954 Haines closed hole to low c flute. She plays beautifully, she was in James Streit's Crowell High School TMEA honor band way back a few years ago. Her insurance company is bugging her to find the value of the flute in order to insure it. We need some suggestions on who to contact to help find the value of this instrument. It is in VERY good condition. Any names would be helpful. We are in the Wichita Falls area.

Best in the state would be Carolyn Nussbaum. Haynes might also be able to help as well. Closed hole isn't as valuable to some, but there are a lot of older players who do prefer them. I'd guess at least 3-5k depending on condition. Nussbaum are the experts though in my opinion.
