I think the ensemble block videos are a great tool for our kids. But one thing I wish they would do differently next year (if they do it again) is have them record in a non echoing room. The flute video is beyond humorous.

TMEA has partnered with Ensembleblock.com to provide the videos from the committee members that selected the TMEA 2025 All State Audition materials for jazz, orchestra and band. Not sure about vocal. It is a pretty cool way to present the material. Rather than just a youtube video, it has the music with the cursor moving to follow while the person is playing the piece of music. You can slow it down, loop it, listen while you play or just use it as a reference recording. The flute professor recorded in a very open space that has tons of reverb. Their etude one sounds great with the reverb but for a reference video explaining how to get ready for auditions they could have picked a better place. Check it out. For those students that don't have access to private lessons reguarely, it could be a very useful tool!
