Yamaha Alto Sax

The last time I purchased a student Yamaha Alto Sax, the YAS-23 was the most recent model. Now I'm seeing the YAS-26. I am looking to purchase a few altos for my school inventory for beginners and would like some input on the quality of the YAS-26. Has anyone tried them yet?

26 is the new 23. Think '95 Mustang vs '20 Mustang. It's a good horn, I believe it has a superior tone quality to the 23. I've had a few students but them in recent years and they hold up tell.

TBH, a '20 Mustang is a far superior car to a '95 Mustang. Those were hunks of junk. No suspension worth a ****.

26 replaced the 23. Still the best "beginner" horn out there.

I LOVE the 26 model. It's affordable and just a great overall beginner horn. They've been around a few years now and majority of my beginners this year are on them. As long as the students take good care of them (or any other horn) - they'll last.
