Anybody have any templates for award certificates? Something that can be worked in Word or Google Docs. Just need something to give out temporarily until the real awards come.

Canva. Adjust what you want from a template and then print on nice paper.

I use canva to make certificates. They have lots of templates including some that are school or music themed. I usually add in our band logo or something like that and just print them out.
It's not very hard to use, and you get the paid version for free with your school email address. Your district most likely has some images already pre loaded in there as well.

Word has templates for that.

So does Canva, if your campus uses it.
