UIL PPE

Where in the world is the UIL page detailing exactly the rules on the Pre-Participation rules??

I know 9th and 11th grade must get one but I need clarification for incoming 8th graders who march. Then what if they were in athletics in 7th grade and had a physical then?

An answer here would be helpful but I really need the page on the UIL website that has it.

Our school does a day where they do the physicals at no cost to the students at the school. Since we do this, I have them do one every year. Kids bodies and health change rapidly, and realistically its much safer to do one every year to cover anything that could have changed in them from the previous year. This way, I also do not have to worry or figure out who has and who has not done it.

If the kid is going into an ODD numbered grade level, they need the FULL physical. EVEN numbered grade level needs just the medical history. *If* they are going into the 8th grade, *and* they had a physical done as a 7th grader for Athletics, they are good for band (get a copy from Coach) as an 8th grader...will need a new one going into 9th grade. If they didn't get one for 7th grade Athletics...they will need a full physical for their 8th grade year AND again going into their 9th grade year.

Call UIL to be on the safe side.
