Feedback for 3rd band curriculum

Hi YB!

I am already looking into next school year and our numbers are increasing to the point that our "3rd" Band will no longer be a small mix of instruments and move in's but a fully functional band that may have an opportunity to go to UIL or a Spring Festival.

They will still have quite the range of ability since it will be mainly 7th graders with several 8th graders.

Has anyone used the "United System for Winds and Percussion" by Peter Sciaino? Pros? Cons?

Just looking for feedback, I obviously have a few months to figure out some things. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Have a look at the Habits books. We've been very happy with them.
